What is a Role?
The role determines the rights of a company within a business group. For example, a MERCHANT has a right to open both seller-driven (to search for demand) and buyer-driven (to search for supply) deals; a CREDITOR has a right to provide financial services. Roles have meaning only within a particular Business group. The list of roles is supported and can be changed by Business group administrator only. For each role IT4profit offers sufficient business functionality and standardized interface.   <<<

Participants can combine in more than one role and benefit from the integration of functions and system modules. The B2B Exchange is designed in such a way that users can get functions that are applicable to different roles. You have to contact your Business group administrator and pass authorization process   <<<

What is a Company at IT4profit.com?
A Company (legal entity) is the main participant of the Exchange. A company is a part of one Business group.   <<<

What is a Business group?
Business Group is a community of business partners trading online. For example, it is a Distributor (a company) with the network of its customers, suppliers and manufactures. Business Groups are virtually totally separated, not visible to each other without signing an electronic Trade Partner Agreement.   <<<

Many-to-many Business Group - to - Business Group model. What does it mean?
IT4profit B2B Exchange supports the online operation of many Business Groups (business partners networks). Existing business relationships of partners within each Business Group remain private. They are not visible for anyone else, including the operator of the Exchange. The B2B Exchange platform enables all members of the Business Group to create their own trading exchanges within the group.
Business Groups can be visible to each other at the Exchange and can start collaboration only when the Trade Partner Agreement (TPA) is signed. They create many-to-many Business Group-to-Business Group model of IT4profit B2B Exchange.   <<<

Is it possible to make the Business Group visible to others at the Exchange?
Business Group can publish (make visible) its business to other Business Groups by signing the TPA. Publishing is not transitive, (if Business Group A sees Business Group B and Business Group B sees Business Group C, it does not mean that Business Group A sees Business Group C).   <<<

Can a Company of one Business Group work with other Business Groups?
A Company can work with other Business Groups by publishing its business as an Active Participant.   <<<

Can one Company belong to different Business groups?
No, company can belong to one Business Group.   <<<

What is an Active Participant?
Active Participant (AP) is an Owner of a Business Group.   <<<

How to become an Active Participant?
There are only two ways to become an Active Participant:

  • AP can be registered by the Exchange Administrator
  • A Company is invited by other participants and it asks Admin to make its status equal to that of AP and Admin confirms the request. Status of AP does not mean the right to carry out operations within a business group. For this one has to get the license.

What rights does Active Participant have?
Active Participant is an Owner of Business group. Usually AP takes the responsibilities of Business Group Administrator or appoints the Business Group Administrator. He has rights to create Companies and change Roles within his Business group.   <<<

Is our business information kept confidential?
The main task of the Exchange is to create trusted environment for online collaboration of your company and your business partners' networks. The Exchange supports partner network - to - partner network business model. Existing business relationships of partners within a Business Group (your company and your business partners' network) remain private. They are not visible for anyone else, including the operator of the Exchange. This is done within a framework of security and system integrity that assures all participants that their access is separate. Collaboration starts when participants sign Trade Electronic Agreement.   <<<
